The best young writers in Clay County were selected based on the results of a Young Writers’ Contest, held in February and March of this year. They are:

Congratulations to each of the five Clay County winners.  Your teachers, principals, parents, and other family members are very proud of you.  The ability to write well is a master key that unlocks many doors in life.     Edward Bulwer-Lytton is known for his famous quote, “Beneath the rule of men entirely great, the pen is mightier than the sword.”  If this saying is indeed true,  Tailyn, Seth, Stefani, Erica, and Katy must hold a great deal of potential in their “writing hands.”   Expect great things from them in the future!
